Born on 28.08.1923 in Erzurum, Hakkı TANER was selected among the successful students of his period by Field Marshal Fevzi ÇAKMAK and sent to Erzincan Military Secondary School. After graduating from this school, he continued his education at Istanbul Kuleli Military High School and finally graduated from the Turkish Military Academy in 1943 and joined Turkish Armed Forces as an officer. In 1956, when he was in the rank of captain, he voluntarily left the Army.
In the first years of his civilian life, TANER worked as an interpreter for American engineers during the construction of the Kaman Dam and later continued to work at the Turkish Grain Board, where he served as the Statistics and Information Branch Manager. While continuing to work he attended Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1959 and graduated from the Faculty in 1963.
After his retirement in 1972, he started to practice law on 08.03.1973, after completing his legal internship at the Ankara Bar Association, and laid the foundations of TANER Law Office.
Continuing his activities mainly in the fields of criminal law, administrative law and private law, Av. Hakkı TANER continued his professional activities uninterruptedly until his death on 14 August 1997.
Av. Mehmet Cüneyt TANER, graduated from Ankara Atatürk High School, graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1977. He started to practice law in 1979 after completing his legal internship.
In the same year, he temporarily suspended his legal practice in order to fulfil his compulsory military service and completed his military service as a reserve officer in Reşadiye District of Tokat as the Deputy Head of the Military Branch. On 30 November 1980, he returned to Taner Law Office. He has been providing legal services in his office located in Kızılay since then.
